Company relocating to new office and warehouse facilities


HIGHLAND PARK, MI – June 23, 2011– Helm, a leading provider of specialty fulfillment and branding support solutions, will soon be moving to new quarters in Plymouth and Livonia, Michigan. The announcement was made June 1, by Justin Gusick, Helm vice-president, at the company’s current headquarters in Highland Park.

Helm has been operating from its present location since it opened its doors in 1943. The move will separate the company’s operations between two new sites with administrative, sales, and marketing offices to be located in Plymouth and warehouse facilities in Livonia. The two locations are about six miles apart.

“Our business has evolved and grown over the years,” said Gusick. “In order to better serve existing and future clients, as well as our employees, we wanted to create upgraded, comfortable, and appealing office and warehouse environments. It’s very difficult to leave Highland Park, however, the two new buildings will address our requirements more effectively in the years ahead.”

Gusick also pointed out the two locations will give Helm more flexibility in its operations.

“We have several new business channels and diverse requirements for each of them. With two locations, one for warehousing, shipping, and deliveries, and the other for our business and administrative purposes, we can better tailor each location for its specific functions and use the spaces more efficiently.”

The move to the new offices is scheduled for August 1. A move-in date for the warehouse has not yet been determined. The Highland Park building will be used to warehouse overflow stock.
